Animal Assisted Therapy

People, especially those struggling with emotional issues.

Huskies, an over-bred, misunderstood breed in world-wide crisis.

What do these two passions have in common?

Both are victims of circumstance! BUT they are two negatives that can work together to create a positive!!

Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a goal-directed intervention in which an animal, that meets specific criteria, is an integral part of the treatment processes.’   (Definitions as per www.deltasociety.org)

Ethology is the study of animal behaviour, and a very big part of this study is the effect that companion animals and people have on each other.  It is a well-documented fact that the human-animal bond is a profound one.

Working with the Huskies from the Husky Rescue Centre we are able to help both people and Huskies through Animal Assisted Therapy utilizing a system called Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) to get to the Heart of the Matter in dealing with mental health issues.
